So as long as I can remember I've been curious about spirits.
Always enjoyed ghost stories even though I was the one sitting in the corner being all emotional, not understanding why...everyone would always ask why are you crying? I have no clue? And let me say this was every time!
I have had a few déjà vu moments as a kid and totally didn't know what was going with that...and then as an adult here we go again having those déjà vu moments and thinking where in the world did this come from...like out of the blue.
My dad was in the army and we moved every 3 - 3 1/2 years from the US to Germany and back again until 1985..if anything went on when I was super young I don't recall but I do remember a time when we were living in Germany..living on base...one night my sisters who are twins and 4 years younger then me.. woke up to seeing a scary witch in their room.
Then there was the time when we lived in Oklahoma and I had this wicker rocking chair I don't remember who gave it to me or where it came from but there was a little ghost girl attached to it...I had forgotten about this until one day my mom had brought it up. I would often see it rocking back and forth and I would be sitting on my bed or at my desk no where near it.
Then we moved to Virginia in 1986 no sadly I didn't bring the wicker chair with us anyway back then there was hardly any kind of ghost shows on tv that I can remember...but in the 70's I was a huge fan of The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries (TV Series 1977–1979) - IMDb :) and living in Germany with only 1 american channel you couldn't wait until Saturday when it aired....and another great show was In Search of...but as a teenager hanging out with friends - ghost stories was a huge hit! And living in Va there is plenty of them due to this history here.
Now it's the mid 90's and I'm married and we have 3 kids and we needed a bigger home to live in...the house we rented had been built in the early 1930's - one of the older neighborhoods and all around nice...didn't think much of ghost or anything spooky...even though down the street from us is a museum...1864, during the Civil War, Violet Bank became the headquarters for Confederate General Robert E. Lee... YES you read the right about 3 blocks away...there's lots of history in the area...
The whole area use to be farm land...before it became a huge neighborhood.
And this will continue...
